Unfortunately, The creation of the internet also gave voice to the ignorance that plagues modern American society. A voice to the bible thumping wanna-be preachers brandishing words like weapons. They tout the work of god and Christ, while their actions reflect only hatred, and everything that Christ stood against in his 33 years on this earth.
ReplyDeleteNow, should LOVEET stumble across this in his/her attempts to spread her accusatory words across the sesspool that had become the world wide web, I would like to point a few things out about myself. I am a Christian, and I am a Libertarian; And while i think LOVEET has only taken her argument to this level for attention, these half hearted attempts at true hatred, by what i can only hope is a back-woods southerner, must be argued against promptly and effectively.
It has been argued by LOVEET that Homosexuals desire special treatment from society, rather than equal treatment. Weather you are straight, or gay, this is a very interesting argument. One that has been reiterated by every homophobic person on the planet, yes, but it is interesting none the less.
I can imagine how hard it is for a straight man or woman to understand why homosexuals feel the need to have a gay pride parade, or even gay pride days, in places such as Disneyworld, Universal studios, and various places of family enjoyment.
But then again, it is also very hard for a straight person to imagine being segregated from society for their choices in their private life. To be cast out of homes, jobs, and even schools, for being who they are, or they choose to be.
It is so easy to choose The Bible as an argument tool against homosexuals. Its a fool proof defense from god-fearing people, and best of all, it requires no higher thought, or explanation. The bible speaks against it so its easy to assume that its the work of Satan and outcast those who are as such.
But i would ask every Christian to consider this.
Jesus died for our sins. Since he made this sacrifice, all of our mortal sins have been pre-paid in full, by god, and his only begotten son.
Now while we should all strive to sin less in life (which easy, because most sins are felonies) for those people who consider homosexuality a sin, they should recognize that god, who is all knowing, knew that homosexuality would happen in the future, and still had his son pay for all of our sins in advance.
so if god and christ had the ability to forgive the people he put on this earth, What right do you have, LOVEET, to question god's decision. As a Christian LOVEET, what right do you have to believe you know better than the actions long written down, that paid for your life as well as mine, and every homosexual on this planet. So before you point your intellect and dare to use the bible as a weapon against your fellow man again, i would suggest that you reread the faith and moral teachings of Jesus Christ and try to be Christ-like, and not just "Christian".
To all my gay friends, family and people who may read this, You keep doing exactly what you are doing, and you fight for your rights to be equal. You deserve them just as much as any other american.
That's all you have to say? Did satan bite your tongue just then? Or was it that I got to you with my statistics? You can't back them up because you KNOW they are true so you attack me with your "Jesus talk". You obviously are just stuck in your ways and the world doesn't need people like that in it. We need compassionate, loving people. Jesus does NOT live in you, you are a psycho crazy person. Jesus is supposedly a spirit who looks over us, not LIVES inside of us.

I am going to say that I bet I am way more intelligent and way better with kids than you have been or ever will be. Do your kids hate you and that's why you have to think that WE are the mollesters? You want to waste your time trying to make a crack at me and millions of other people in this world, be prepared for people talking to you about it, because I don't back down and I know that several million wont either. I'm going to say that you are the one with the mental illness lady. Open your eyes and see that the world isn't all going to be like you and believe what you believe. We are all born DIFFERENT for a reason but it is people like you that just want to make everyone else's life a living hell, that doesn't sound like Jesus to me. And don't say I can't talk about Jesus because I don't know who he is, you are a psycho thinking that you see him and that you are best friends with him. Where is your proof that he talks to you and lives in you? And you didn't tell me how your conversation went with him anyway. Can we say schizo? No one has EVER talked to God or Jesus in person so I would like to hear this! And get this through your thick-headed skull lady, THIS IS NOT A CHOICE! Take it or LEAVE it!! Be gone from me IGNORANT Unintelligent FOOL!
There is no need for a lengthy explanation, you can read for yourself and see how hypocritical this woman is. If she honestly believes Jesus is on her side, she's way lost.
ReplyDeleteLOVEET how can you judge someone that you know nothing about, the only thing you know is that these people are gay. Who cares let them be them, they are not all hurting children or other people. I happen to know a lot of gay people and they are all great I allow them to watch my daughter who I love more than anything if I thought these people would hurt her in any way I would not leave her with them. I think that you are just unsure of your sexuality so you have to attack people that are not scared to be themself.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to add my two cents to this discussion. First off, I'd like to say that I "came out" almost a year ago as a "homosexual." After coming out, and realizing that I was born this way, I'd like to ask, why would anyone CHOOSE to be gay? Why would we choose to live a lifestyle where we are constantly discriminated against and harrassed? Why would we choose to live in a way that we aren't allowed to have equal rights with the "straight" population?

*The word "homosexual" does not apper in the ORIGINAL version of the Bible. It first appeared in the New Revised Standard Bible in 1946.
*The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force "National Anti-Gay/Lesbian Victimization Report" concludes from its survey: 45% of gay males and 20% of lesbians surveyed reported having experienced verbal harrassment and or physical violence during high school as a result of their sexual orientation.
(And yet, we as "homosexuals" are the ones who are violent and a threat to society??)
*In a psychological study of 484 students at six community colleges conducted by Dr Karen Franklin, 18% of the men interviewed admitted that they had committed physical violence or threats against men and or women they perceived to be gay or lesbian.
(Are we seeing a pattern here? Most of these people doing the harrassing were probably "good Christians" just like you...)
*Myth:
Homosexuality Is A Form Of Mental Illness And Can Be Cured.
Fact:
The American Pshychiatric Association removed homosexuality from its list of official mental illnesses in 1973. The American Psychological Association followed suit in 1974. And so have most Psychiatric and psychological associations around the world.
(So the folks with the college education have determined that we are not "mentally ill" in any way.)
*Myth:
The Majority Of Child Molesters Are Gay Men And Women.
Fact:
Statistics have shown that pedophelia or child molestation is perpetrated by mainly heterosexuals.
In fact, over 90% of all reported molestations are carried out by heterosexual males.
(That does still leave 10% of these cases, but I think even you should be able to do the math on this one...)
*Myth:
All Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual And Transgender People Choose To Be That Way.
Fact:
The only place where choice seems to come into play is when they decide how they will acknowledge their identity. Choosing if and how to 'come out' and choosing who to tell.
(This one pretty much speaks for itself.)
Here are just a few closing thoughts for you:
If Jesus truly lived in you, you would know not to judge, because only He can pass judgement.
God loves everyone. We are all his children, and are all created in his image, correct?
And think about this one: Will God condemn me for loving, or you for attempting to act as a judge here on Earth, and for spreading such hate and attempting to cast such a horrible light over the "homosexual" population?
